We run true to size, not big, not small. We are a US size spec and advise ordering the size you order in other brands. Our size chart is for general reference only, as it's impossible to have one size chart fit the hundreds of styles we make. If for some reason an items runs small or large, we will very clearly state such, in bold letters next to the product, so you have the best chance of getting the right fit!

I got two for my girls to wear for pirate night on a cruise. The quality is stunning. They tried them on and I had to return my oldest size 8 (she’s almost 8yrs) for a smaller size. The return process was so smooth and easy. I received the smaller one in two days. I might recommend getting a size down. Overall I highly recommend.
My daughter's second grade class is nicknamed "The Pirates", so she quickly decided that was the theme for Halloween this year. We searched many sites looking for cute pirate girl costumes and loved the look of this one most with the adorable ruffles and layers! Shipping was super quick! Quality is top notch with gorgeous detail. I love that it is all attached as one piece with a few extra accessories. Getting it on is a breeze, one zipper and you are done! We ordered a size up to ensure we wouldn't have to risk a return before Halloween, but it actually seems to run very true to size with some stretch, so I think her normal size would have worked as well. We are excited she might get two years out of it though!
My almost 5 year old granddaughter adores this layered look- but simple to put on dress. The stretch velvet and included belt does a wonderful job of making it fit now, and likely next year. Vivid colors,and hat is lightweight and adorable. Looks wonderful with black ballet flats while still warm and boots later in cooler weather. Granddaughter was keen to learn about she-captains and pirates in history, both good and bad. Win/win. Highly recommend.
After about 6 Halloween costume idea changes this showed up on my daughter’s radar and it was a done deal. So well made and absolutely precious. It is a bit large on my slender girl, but the belt really helps. This is one I wish came in an adult size.
