I loved the silhouette of this dress at first sight and initially ordered a medium due to the size chart (I'm always on the cusp.) It is actually a very generously cut dress - wide at the waist, which I didn't guess by looking at the photo. I exchanged my medium for a small and I LOVE IT. The fabric is a nice thick poplin, and yet somehow still cinches tight nicely at the waist. The arms are roomy as well compared to other shirtdresses I own. There is more to the cut than meets the eye. I was initially unsure of the slit as the images show it quite high, but there are more buttons than I could tell from the image and I am able to button it below the knee. It was perfectly elegant for a dinner and night at the theater, and I will be wearing it for work events without hesitation as well. I was stopped mid-stride at the ballet several times with compliments and inquiries about the dress. I'm already looking at the other designs to order another one!
